Pendulum are not reuniting, says Rob Swire
Ultra Miami pulled off yet another large feat this past March in booking legendary drum ‘n’ bass band Pendulum to close out the festival’s main stage. The appearance marked the first live performance from the group in quite some time, since their disintegration in favor of their own individual endeavors, namely Swire and McGrillen’s side project, Knife Party. In addition to their booking, the Pendulum website was also rebooted, sparking further hype of new music and possibly a tour in the future.
After announcing yet another reunion show in Perth, Australia — their first show in their hometown in five years — hope of their official reunion was officially quelled by Rob Swire in a disheartening Tweet: “It’s a one-off DJ set, because we happened to be in Perth,” the former leader divulged Wednesday morning. Despite such sad news, hopefully their “one-off” reunion will be recorded so that fans can listen frequently until they reunite once again.
FYI you can probably ignore all the “Pendulum reuniting” bullshit tweets. It’s a one-off DJ set, because we happened to be in Perth.
