The Star Wars ‘Cantina Band’ song is prime lovemaking music in Australia
During Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, a young Luke Skywalker enters a Mos Eisley cantina where he meets Han Solo for first time. One of the most memorable parts of the scene, however, is not so much the visual aspect of it, but rather the song in the background played out by a jazz band of turtleneck-clad aliens.
As it turns out, this song is so infectious that Australians have crowned it as their number one choice overall for lovemaking, according to Spotify. After gathering figures found by searching “sex” into the streaming service and also in aggregating “sexy time” playlists, the “Cantina Band” song from Star Wars dominated the poll “by a landslide.” Its composer John Williams was also labeled as the top sex artist as a result. This information breathes new meaning into the term “sexy saxophone” while also showing off the oddball side Australia is known for.
Other songs on the list include “Birthday Sex,” “Pony,” and “Sex On Fire.” View the cantina scene from A New Hope above to hear exactly what gets most Australians in the mood.
