DROELOE usher in the end of an era with ‘A Matter Of Perspective’
A Matter Of Perspective isn’t just any DROELOE original. The anthology LP, an amalgamation of DROELOE’s three prior EPs and seven new songs, turns the page in the DROELOE history book to open a new chapter, one that will notably begin without the outfit’s original member and visual artist, Hein Hammers. Hammers’ transition out of DROELOE will leave the sonic reigns resting solely in the hands of Vincent Rooijers, but not without a proper sendoff.
Representative of Hammers and Rooijers progression under the DROELOE umbrella, A Matter Of Perspective looks back to look forward. The staggering 29-song collection of familiar and fresh DROELOE originals harkens back to singles like “OATH,” of DROELOE’s 2019 EP, A Promise Is Made, while putting forth various “Reimagined” versions of existing tracks. Listeners got a taste of this “reimagined” subseries with “Sunburn (Reimagined)” in September and “Virtual Friends (Reimagined)” in February.
The DROELOE activity won’t stop with A Matter Of Perspective; fans will soon have the opportunity to take a museum-like guided audiovisual tour in Discord as part of a virtual release experience that the duo has crafted. There will be three digital rooms, one for each of the three EPs embodied on A Matter Of Perspective.
The guided tour will be narrated by Rooijers, from whom visitors will learn more about the context for each EP and its inclusions. Fans will also have access to a gift shop, where they can purchase exclusive, anthology-specific merchandise and more. More information on this virtual experience is forthcoming.
