Knife Party bring out Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine to close out Ultra Music Festival [Video]
Closing out the main stage of Ultra for its final day is one of the greatest honors that can be bestowed upon an electronic performer. This year, that honor was doubly bestowed upon Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, who offered one of the weekend's most talked about sets by combining their massively successful Knife Party and Pendulum outfits into one spellbinding performance.
Bassnectar and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine are working on new music
Electronic rock god, Bassnectar and legendary rock guitarist, Tom Morello, are working on something truly massive. Best known as the mastermind behind Rage Against the Machine's rock domination in the late 90s, Morello has been spending time in the studio with Ashton laying down some hard rock riffage. Not much is known about the collaboration, but between Bassnectar's already heavily rock-influenced productions and Morello's talent for making guitars scream in distorted agony, whatever the two concoct is sure to be one of the year's most exciting outputs.
Carnage brings Rae Sremmurd, Rick Ross, and DJ Khaled onstage during his Ultra set
With guest appearances from Deadmau5 and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, the combined Knife Party/Pendulum performance that closed out Ultra has received the most press of the weekend in terms of celebrity appearances. However, a number of other guest appearances cropped up in Bayfront Park throughout the weekend.
